Revealing Women by Eda Duru Çağıltı

Women; human kind that has ability to give birth to another human. Women are  precious like a diamond. They are first; like a coal they are dark and hidden, they need to  undergo a process. That process takes time and effort. Lots of pressure, wind that tries to blow  down, unwanted thoughts and discourse that wants to demolish. But after this much of an  overwhelming incident, women shine up over greedy eyes of audience which is society.  

In Turkey half of the population is female yet there are still confusing cases have been  happening and bemusement judgements are being decided by courts and public. Many male  and female resister are taking to the streets to persuade administrative instructions to not to  renege on agreements that provides women equal rights with men. Sadly, there still hasn’t been  any significant action held related to the topic. Because political mindsets, education and  leaders’ discourses are not eligible to support these thoughts. Inequality in work life, violence,  rape, society are some of the injustices that happens in Turkey the most. 

In my opinion key point is that, people miss the fact which is women and men same, the  only difference they have are some body parts they have and the responsibilities they have. And  even these responsibilities are incurred them tag like. So, if we can insulate social tags, we are  all same and equal.  

Women get to face violence, rape and innuendos just like us; men, children, elders,  animals, plants. They are used as tools to toy with by their body, appearance or abilities. They  are getting violated at work, at home, in public. Where should they feel secured? 

In Turkey, women get to face inequality just like us; men, children, elders, animals,  plants. At work they should work more to get promoted or get a pay rise. They are examined  more carefully that men and it is harder for them to sustain in their promoted position. People  await their mistakes for their discreditable fall and one of the most pathetic part is that, this  even happen between women. Inequality is not only at workplaces its everywhere. Where  should they feel secured? 

Women are also mom just as a father, children, elder, animal, plant. Yet they mostly  don’t get any help from parents and partners while the child is being raised. This results in  women become distanced from work, social life, happiness which is one of the essential living  factor. Where should they rest? 

Having to face with this much question and more is putting the situation into a swamp.  The only question that should be asked after this point is: “What should we do?”. 

Equality starts in the family that you have raised in and continues with the family that  you form. Kids are futures adults. These adults are going to be ruling this world one day and  for the sake of the society and to sustain, create, welfare, education is a must that should be  obtained from family firstly. Most of the unpleasant actions roots are benightedness. There are  a lot of people talking about women rights and revolt to the ones that actually encourages the  brightness. These people are not guilty, none is guilty as long as they hadn’t had the knowledge  learnt before, but in case of turning a death ear to knowledge is a problem.

In conclusion women are struggling with a lot of challenge, trying their best to survive  in this unequal system. In the end we are equal and this equalness comes from extensive roots  of ours. This knowledge comes from education and education starts to blossom in core family,  continues with the voluted education journey.
